Roxanne – At the Ruins
This was our second attempt at shooting in the abandoned building, but it was freezing, damp and windy last time and we gave up. It was loads warmer this time, though still a bit chilly. I have been looking forward for ages to working with Roxanne. She is absolutely perfect for the style of shoot I want to do, and she was incredibly easy to work with. It really helped that Roxanne is also a photographer, so we spent some time reviewing shots as we were going along and working out how to improve things, which was a fantastic experience for me.
A couple of firsts for me on this shoot. I did not use a single flash or light modifier throughout the whole day and also used just a single lens which was my trusty Sigma 50mm f1.4 EX DG. I am absolutely loving this lens!
I think I am finally beginning to find my style now photography wise and I am really pleased that the vision I had before the shoot we were able to turn in to finished images.
