New “Click on Me” on Facebook – OMG! – Theme Park accident in Alton Towers United Kingdom
Just found this link on Facebook. Scotty Watson warned me about these so please take a look at his web-site – http://www.makingfaces.info/2011/03/28/attacking-facebook/.
The fake link is going around Facebook and is called “OMG! – Theme Park accident in Alton Towers United Kingdom” and the person hacked will comment on it saying “Hey, Did you see this? Its awful. I couldnt watch it all. Im NEVER going to a Theme Park again”

There are also variations of the link about such as “Rollercoaster Crash Video Photos” with this URL

DO NOT TRY AND OPEN the links to the Rollercoaster / Theme park web sites, your Facebook account will get hacked and a virus or trojan will most likely be installed on your computer!
Take a look at Scotty’s blog here to see how to avoid this stuff and above all just be careful which links you click on.
I have also posted a couple of other useful Facebook tips here – http://www.rugglez.com/facebook-tips/
Safe surfing, Matthew.

This one is called “BBC News Exclusive” and has the comment “Everyone do check what she did on cam ….”
Click on this one and some images will appear in your album with your mates tagged on them…..

And if you have accidentally clicked on one of these links, make sure to do a virus scan on your computer just in case.
There are plenty of free scanners – personally I use the free version of AVG

Cheers Matty, this stuff is starting to get around quite a bit. It tailed off for a few days within the photography circles but it would seem that it’s back again. The big thing with this folks is don’t click the links. They are almost always a shortened URL however just because it looks like its from your friend doesn’t mean that it’s safe. As soon as you click that link, you have put yourself, your computer and your friends and family at risk. Always do a scan if in doubt!
