I am Rugglez! My name is Matthew Craig, a photographer from Cheltenham in Gloucestershire, UK. After being into photography for a long time, loving to capture those brief moments of time, I decided a couple of years ago to take things a lot more seriously. I love experimenting with new or different techniques and I am always searching for inspirational locations and subjects. I still have a lot to learn, but I am thoroughly enjoying the journey along the way.

Body Painting @ FilmPhoto – Take 1
Feb 22nd
I went to a great studio shoot today organised by Paul Trask (aka Trasky) in Cheltenham Film Studios – www.filmphoto.com. There were some great models and body artists there and the results were amazing. The star of the day for me was the uber talented and gorgeous Helen Diaz – she just makes it look so effortless.

It’s a wrap! – Spur of the moment location shoot with Jackie
Feb 22nd
A spontaneous shoot with Jackie which we arranged on Facebook at very short notice – we were driving up towards Cranham an hour or so after out first message.
The shoot took place in Cranham woods near Gloucester. A bare off camera strobe and stand were used for lighting and I mainly shot with my Sigma 105mm f2.8 macro lens. Unfortunately, I was bloody freezing when we got up there and had left my fleece at home by mistake, so I bottled out after 30 minutes and we headed back off to Gloucester and a hot cup of coffee. Fright Night – Model shoot with Evangeline, Evesham
Feb 21st
My first shoot with Evangeline, arranged up at her place in the middle of nowhere (way past Evesham).
Eva was brilliant to work with. She had a completely different approach to anyone I have worked with before, and treated the shoot as acting rather than modelling. This was really great for me as I was desperate not to come away from this shoot with pouting/glamour images, as I wanted some dark and moody shots …. maybe something I could use as Halloween images.
Unfortunately, things have slipped a lot due to work and holidays, and I still haven’t managed to edit all More >
Modelling tips – Videos on what to do and what not to do.
Feb 21st
A good friend of mine Mr Scotty Watson came across these videos whilst wasting some of his evenings on the internet. I just had to share them on as they are very informative. If you have ever had anything to do with moguls* in any way shape or form, these videos will help you to understand them better.
And if you have ever heard of Model Mayhem, the second video might be what you have been searching for. I am so impressed that someone put so much effort into a video covering just one web site…..

Helen Diaz – Field of dreams
Feb 3rd
My first shoot with Helen Diaz, a model who had been at the top of my “want to work with” list for over a year. Was it worth the wait? Absolutely! Helen was a delight to work with. Not only was she a natural in front of the camera, but I learnt so much from her during the shoot and also got some pictures that I was really happy with.
Artists – A day with the staff at Alzone Tattoo Studios, Gloucester
Jan 22nd
If you don’t ask, you don’t get! Well, I went in to see Alan at Alzone Tattoos and whilst I was there, I thought I would be very cheeky and ask if I could come back to take some pictures of Alan and the other tattoo artists at work. To my surprise, he was completely up for it, so I bit his hand off at the chance.
Typically, I woke up on the morning of the shoot with a stinking cold and thought I’d have to cancel. I just about managed to get my act together and made it down to the More >
Helen Diaz Studio
Sep 26th
Another great shoot with the fantastic Helen Diaz. This time we were in the studio at Martyn’s studio (www.martynrussellphotography.com) in Gloucester
The shoot was really enjoyable and great fun as always with Helen. We managed to get some great images and also a bunch of fun ones too – I just need to remember to engage brain before I speak when we shoot next time. I do sometimes say completely the wronmg things…..
